When outdoors roaming around the planet, try to collect at least one or more pieces of trash that others have carelessly left behind. Then, properly dispose of collected trash and maybe even recycle it.

Proper PC/MAC computer & related product disposal is usually available in most areas FREE of charge by calling your local waste management center. Donate old systems to local schools & agencies and/or call the PC manufacturer for recycle procedures. Also, most reputable PC service companies will offer an inexpensive or FREE disposal option.

Goodwill Industries. Call your local Goodwill store. The one by us took all my old computers, and old electronics. They also took two dead TVs; one had been sitting outside for several years. They take them to their local electronic repair facility. If they can be repaired, they repair them, then sell them in their store. If they cannot be repaired, they send them for recycling. Plus they will give you a receipt for your taxes. The big reward is that there is no charge for this service.

Since global warming is here now and we need to save our world, there is one way to reduce our cars’ contamination.
Inflate your tires and check them once a week. That way your car does less effort on the run and acceleration; therefore, uses less gas. This way, we contribute in our duty to save the world and help our economy by spending a bit less on gas.

Keep your air filter clean; saves gas as well in your car.

Compost! It’s easy. Our town sells composters for just $10. But you don’t need a composter — you can make a pile in a corner somewhere and alternate leaves and cut grass. I would suggest NOT putting in food waste. Also, if you chop up your leaves in the fall and put them in your garden beds, you do NOT have to rake them out in the spring; perfect mulch. And how about a non-electric or non-gas lawn mower? If you mow this way, you don’t have to go to the gym, as you will get a great workout. Wear old fashioned golf shoes when you mow and you can help aerate your lawn. Also, don’t collect all the grass; leave some to decompose. And why not plant a vegetable garden and some native plants. HEY, YOU SHOULD DONATE A LOT MORE THAN TEN CENTS FOR THESE HINTS. I could have put each one separately!

Stop using harsh chemicals to clean your home! This site has wonderful recommendations for useful cleaners that aren’t harmful. My favorite cleaner is vinegar and water. I use it as a multipurpose cleaner for everything. Since I have children, I really appreciate knowing that I am not cleaning with some harsh chemical that is dangerous to them.
By using “green” cleaners, I not only am protecting my children, but also the environment around. 1) No harmful chemical waste that can’t be recycled. 2) No chemicals getting into my ground water.

Stop using aerosol cans! I am still amazed at how many people would rather buy an aerosol can vs. a pump sprayer. Back in the 1980’s it was proven that aerosol spray is endangering our ozone. I made the switch back then, but from the store shelves I see that the majority of Americans did not. We have to stop buying aerosol products so that manufacturers can start making more earth-friendly products. Green living starts with the consumer!

Those clear plastic prescription drug bottles are not recyclable. But I often ask the pharmacist to reuse the bottle I already have – it just needs a new label. That saves all that toxic waste going into landfills and eventually into our water.

It’s so simple and easy!! Just get what you want and be happy when you can; distribute love when and where you can’t; Be Human! And this world may change. Just people attached to you are enough and attachment follows. Everything is a chain reaction. Believe in love and distribute it in any or whatever way.
